A VISUAL OPTIMISM INSPIRATION FOR DESTINATION WEDDINGS 2021
Every year over InEventive we love to compile a list of wedding trends as a forecast for the upcoming season. And although traditionally this comes into mood boards where color palettes, floral inspiration trends, cakes and total excitement meld, this year we decided to go a little different and created a very special inspiration shoot to encompass them all. This Athens luxury microwedding at Hatzi Mansion brings together visual optimism for destination weddings 2021 relying mostly on experiences rather than simply aesthetics. And as we love to create hyper-personalized affairs and curated guest "treats" this could not go amiss, fused with everything "nouveau" and topped with true experiences for a new, fresh beginning. 2021 - The year of Intentionality
Planning a destination wedding in 2021? Well, this is your year to go utterly intentional and all out design-wise, even if you still are not certain about the size. If you're going "micro" on the guest list you certainly can go "macro" on style and flair. Going more intentional about your wedding scheme means fusing every single bit of what you and your spouse love into your destination wedding decor, cuisine and location.

The Venue : Hatzi Mansion in Athens
Your destination wedding venue is where it all begins to unfold and is a decisive factor towards your decor and palette. To this end we went for the Hatzi Mansion in Athens, a Neo-Byzantine chateau perched on the hills of Anavyssos. We loved how this particular venue combines immaculate vistas, thoughtfully curated elements reminiscent of a Tuscan villa, stunning architecture, lush gardens and a pool, all sure to make any 2021 wedding a dream. Its frescoes and murals make the perfect backdrop for portraits while its show-stopper loggia turned into our indoor-outdoor set for the reception.

Going all-colorful for 2021
After all this time (and wait) 2021 is the time for unapologetic joy and panache! We brought together bold floral arrangements, colorful art de la table, in greens, yellows, pinks and oranges, channeling our love for Mediterranean flair into floral topped letterpress invites and menus, popping gifts for the guests, vibrant favors, chromatic pastries (and libation) to evoke cheer and elevate spirits whilst creating a sense of profound happiness! Yes, Greece destination weddings are always nuanced with passion and love for life, so this was our chance to spoil the couple's guests a little more. Handcrafted paintings and painted fedora hats were paired to the overall decor for an extra dose of bliss.

The locavore wedding trend
Locavore is going to be a big trend in 2021, and what better than a Greece destination wedding to indulge in culinary treats and fresh, organic produce right into the wedding menu. Food over these parts of the world is a true experience and so is libation, the rituals, the colors, the flavors, even the preparation should be part of a wedding. We paid tribute to locavore in the menu and the liquor assortments served during the cocktail hour. Locally farmed meats, ingredients and seasonal veggies and fruit imbued the menu and the cocktail amuse bouche in meat & vegetable platters with the couple's signature.
Baby it's a wide world!
Traveling vicariously maybe what we all did in 2020 but 2021 calls for the world to open up. Our part? Centering around decorative elements of suitcases and mini world-map globes we nodded to mindful globe-trotting and the feeling of freedom to explore! Finally, for the couples who love a little lounging by the pool we headed to the pool pavilion for the couple's cocktail hour shots and dusk portraits.
